On Monday, May, 22nd, LIST and CNRS (LORIA) 's teams have conducted preliminary experiments for CrossCult at the Museum-Aquarium in Nancy, France (<link http: www.museumaquariumdenancy.eu _blank>www.museumaquariumdenancy.eu).
The goal was to deploy different beacons in the museum to gather radio signal power and other useful data to assess the indoor-location capabilities of such devices. Students from the University of Lorraine also tested an application for indoor geo-location using geomagnetism, which could be combined with beacon-based technologies. They also made a questionnaire-based survey with visitors, to study the human factors involved in the visitor's satisfaction.
Now the next step will be to analyse the data!
